1999. Written and premiered at Otahuhu College with a full musical score by Gerald Van Waardenberg.

2000. Playmarket becomes the licensing agent.

2004. Harbouring Ghosts is used as one of the 3 New Zealand texts for the drama education resource titled Telling Our Stories. This is published for the Ministry of Education by Learning Media.

2011. The play has a final re-write. Musician Paddy Free composes a soundtrack that is available as a CD from Playmarket, this also includes Gerald van Waardenberg's composition My Only Obsession.
